In this, the first full episode of Lee and Dan’s (unofficial) Marvel Unlimited Book Club the guys take a in depth look at 2003’s Hulk Grey comic (issues 1 to 6) – written by Jeph Loeb and illustrated by Tim Sale.
Hulk Grey is part of the celebrated “Marvel Color” comic book series and it’s story centers around the first few days after Bruce Banner has the gamma radiation incident that turns him into the super hero The Hulk.
If you want to read the comics along with the guys then you can find all the Hulk Grey comics over on Marvel Unlimited – starting with issue one here:
Hulk Grey issue 1
You can also find them collected in graphic novel form at your local comic or book shop (well, probably – we don’t actually have a direct link to their stock list).
As well as the Hulk Lee and Dan also discuss The Beano, 2000AD, Ghost in the Shell, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and skirt around Lee’s suspicion of pharmacists.
Next episode the guys will be taking a look at the beginning of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s run on the Punisher – with 2000’s twelve issue limited series: The Punisher: Welcome Back Frank (issues 1-12)
Should you wish to read the comic on Marvel Unlimited you can start with issue one here:
The Punisher (2000) issue 1
Again, if you prefer a print copy then you are likely to be able to get hold of one at all good book and comic book shops (but again – we are guessing here)
If you would like to help out the podcast financially we do have a Patreon page and there will even be stuff on it if anyone is keen.
